Genting VIP Status upgraded to 10 stars!!!

Hi all,

Quite surprised a thread hasn't already been started regarding this subject yet! It appears quite a few folk I've spoken to have had their VIP status on Genting upgraded from 2 stars straight upto 10 stars overnight.....has anyone else noticed this?

However, I just took a call from a mate of mine who has said that since this has happened it won't allow him to accrue ipoints via cash games & tourny rake......has anyone else noticed this?

He contacted Genting online support and they advised that the VIP upgrade was due to our affiliation with AWOP and something to do with the fact that we had played in AWOP players club freerolls, but in regards to the ipoints issue, they have said there is nothing they can do about that and that he should speak to an AWOP representative

Can anyone shed any light on this please? As much as my mate loves the fact he is now eligible to play in the 5k VIP freeroll, he plays quite a bit of cash and feels he's missing out on points.

Whilst on the subject, I really don`t remember downloading Genting through AWOP, i was convinced i did it through Genting.com, can you confirm or deny this for me please?

Hi John...We were only made aware of this ourselves a few days ago and are trying to figure out the best way to allocate these points/cash. To be completely honest we're not entirely sure how to go about it as we've never been in the situation.

Hopefully when the Poker Manager gets back from Vegas we'll have alot more info we can share but rest assured you WILL get everything you're due as will every other player under our affiliate. You joined the Players Club on March 1st last year so you are under our affiliate.

Me too Igot my 10 stars does that mean if I worked in McDonalds(should it be Macdonalds) I would get 2 badges for all my stars LOL

oh by the way are you aware that AWOP`s clock is 1 hour slow ? it is now 23.25

You need to change the clock in your Profile...it is your clock that needs updating.

you just need to goto your usercp -> board prefs and then set the time to +1

I noticed same problem when i changed my account from pounds to dollars other day and had to close my old account and open a new one to do player transfers in the same currency.I made sure they would transfer points/tokens and vip level etc but was suprised i was suddenly on VIP 10.Tried to find out what this gave me and the list stops at VIP Level 9 !!!.This seems to make abit more sense now so i better stop playing $25/$50 thinking if im down $30k it wont be so bad due to the rakeback lol,back to 0.10/0.20 for the moment then!

The TPC reward scheme is the only scheme at the moment but we are currently looking at the whole structure to see what we can coem up with
